@singingbee: My LO was getting them on her face and still gets them in her diaper area. They did bloodwork and found nada.
Not super comforting because I hate mystery illness/rash/whatever, but just to let you know that I guess it can happen without being serious.
Good luck today!

@autumnlove: thanks. We ended up going to the ER last night. We will make an appt with her ped today. I think it's viral since some of the spots have faded, but some are still there.

@singingbee: I noticed the first bruise on Friday and I didn't think much of it. The petechiae and more bruises popped up over the weekend. We made an appointment on Monday and the Dr ordered a blood test that led to hospitalization due to low platelets. She never had a fever. Hope your LO is ok!!!! <3

@autumnlove: reviving this thread. LO had petechiae which I just noticed tonight. She has some bruises, but she has been walking etc. the nurse said to watch and see if more bruises come up, things change like a fever, etc. just wondering how soon after you saw the dots to when you found out it WANs something else.

@lizzywiz: :-( Some of my LO's bruises looked dark like this but the others looked like regular toddler bruises.

Hope she is ok!

that is exactly what it looks like on her face. She doesn't have bruising except on her legs- I just assumed she is more active and running into things.
Were your Lo's bruises really dark or no? Mine look like normal bruises...
But either way, maybe worth a trip to the doc.

I hope she is ok...thinking of you and your LO.

My LO had it once when she also had heavy bruising. She had ITP and was hospitalized. This is what some of it looked like.

Right now it is ALL over her face, tiny little spots. We always just assumed she has fair skin, she is an enthusiastic crier, so there it is.
But...seems to be happening more,...mama panic power, go!

Anybody experience this?
