They are not bad at all. They insert a tube into your cervix and shoot washed semen into you. It took less than five minutes each time. </p> <p>I highly recommend that you go to an RE though. Wondering if anyone has experience with IUI. Thank you! </p> <p>My message to doctor:<br /> "I'm a new patient. I had to cancel my first appointment, which was scheduled for yesterday because I've been sick. I have a question for you. My husband and I have been trying, on and off, to conceive since October 2012. I'm 35, he's 36. This would be our first baby. I was previously working with an OBGYN at OMG. He prescribed Clomid, 50mg, for 3 cycles. I ovulate regularly on my own, but he thought it might boost the ovulation. It didn't seem to do anything. I've had an HSG (tubes and uterus looked good), my FSH is 8.58, husband's sperm looks good. I'm wondering what you would suggest as our next step."</p> <p>Doctor's Response: (very short)</p> <p>Can't say for sure without more details but probably IUI +/- Clomid/Femara. </p>
