I also KT taped my belly for support. It was the only thing that helped!

I had it pretty awful with my third. I’ve heard it gets worse each time. Best thing for me was trying to do everything possible with knees together ... rotate in and out of car with knees together, when moving in bed, always sit down to do something with one leg (like put pants on), etc. Still hurt like crazy though. Mine was a lot better right after birth and then went away completely pretty quickly.

I had the same issue. It was so painful with my second, but I don't remember it at all with my first. The good news (since you're nearing delivery) is it went away basically immediately after she was born.

I'm so sorry you are going through this! I had this, or something similar, with my DD. The pain actually brought me to tears a few times, the worst was turning over in bed for me. It stayed pretty bad for the first 4-6 weeks after giving birth but then started getting better. I wish I had pushed the issue with my doctor more instead of just waiting it out.

I'm sorry! I had this with my second, too and it SUCKS. I actually remember it being gone before giving birth. but it legit felt like my pubic bone was being broken in half. I was in pain or sore all the time. If I took a wrong step and slipped even a little, it was EXCRUCIATING. Lifting my left to get into bed required my husband's help. I hope it passes soon!

I had this with my second. It's most likely pubic symphysis. It sucks and the only thing that will totally fix it is giving birth.
I just worked with my yoga instructor for things to help and just toughed it out. It's now 90% gone at 9 weeks pp. It still hurt quite a bit for the first month but was way more manageable

I had this but not quite as severe. Not with my first but with my second pregnancy it was so bad! Turning over in bed and like you said shifting weight was excruciating.unfortunately or fortunately the only thing that helped was giving birth. I took it easy but started exercising about 6 weeks postpartum (I'm an avid runner) and it definitely improved. I feel totally normal now and I was convinced it would hurt forever.
But try to see a women's / pregnancy related specialist. You don't want lasting damage.

I am a women’s health PT and it sounds like you may have pubic symphysis dysfunction. I would see a pelvic floor/women’s health PT who should be able to help you manage your pain until delivery.

@DillonLion: yeah I had to stop doing it because I had to have weekly ultrasounds and it wasn't worth it for 6 days at a time. But if you know you won't have any more checks for 2 ish weeks it's worth it.

I know you can order k-tape online and look up different tapes for various issues and you could recruit your husband.

@Sams Mom: she usually tapes me with something...not sure what it is called. It helps, but then I had to take it off for my sonogram today :crying:

@DillonLion: does your chiro offer K-taping? I don't think I had as much pain as you're describing but the k-taping helped exponentially with the pain and discomfort.

I do not recall this with my first!

I am 36 weeks with my 2nd and the pelvic pain is outrageous! It feels like my pelvis is being sawed in half.

I see a chiro and getting adjusted helps for 1 or 2 days and then it's back to barely being able to walk.

I splurged on a pelvic support belt today, but man!! If 10/10 is the worst pain of my life, this is like a 7 or an 8.

Anything that scissors my legs apart or lifts one leg at a time is a no go. It hurts to move my foot from the break pedal to the gas pedal in my car!

Anyone else have this? What helped?
