Most weddings that I think are Pinterest are amazing! DH and I went to a wedding this past winter that was a total "Pinterest" wedding, and I had to point it out to him, and than friends/family that asked how the wedding was. Virtually everything they did or created, I saw on Pinterest. I wasn't trying to be mean, or put down their wedding, just... sayin'? Yes, I could have found some cool ideas. But people actually appreciated all the clearly handmade decorations I'd spent hours on. Not one person said, "oh, I saw that on Pinterest."</p> <p>Am I the only one who HATES when people say that? It's always dismissive sounding, unless they make a real effort to continue with something like, "I wanted to try it. You did a great job with it." etc. Just because I got an idea from there, doesn't mean it didn't require a lot of effort and creativity of my own. The bees on Weddingbee were never dismissive if we got an idea from there and used it. Pinterest has made crafting seem "easy," even though a lot of people pin a thousand things they never make. But they pinned it, so clearly they *could* make it, and it must be easy because it's on Pinterest! </p>
