Check out your rec center? We do a baby play class once a week that's fairly inexpensive and she comes with me to a fit4two class. She likes to look at the other babies and laugh at me while I do jumping jacks. And they usually show a modification to use the baby as a weight/if you have to hold them because they're fussy.

But really, my six month old is still pretty content to hang out in her stroller while we walk around and stare at herself in the mirror all day.

Randomly, we were at a funeral home that had a massive aquarium and she was totally entranced by that, so I may start taking her to our regular (non funeral home) aquarium or pet stores.

My 3 month old needs lots of stimulation too - today she was really happy in the carrier walking up and down the aisles of Walmart looking at all the colorful items, and interesting people ;) The mall is great for that too. She also loves the Fisher Price Kick & Play Piano - it's the only toy that doesn't bore her!

@jedeve: weellll, this may make me sound boring but I had two months that I didn't work before she was born & I basically spent my time going on walks, cleaning my house & reading. All things that are getting a little old to her lol it takes a good 30 minutes to get anywhere interesting around here so I generally opt not to go....guess that should change!

Do what you want to do! Soon enough you will be consumed with entertaining them. It's nice at this age that they are just happy looking at whatever!

At this age we went out to lunch, to the beach, and to museums a lot... At museums sometimes she just chilled in her stroller/ergo, sometimes I held her up to the art. I might have looked like a pretentious a**hole but we had fun! and I got to do stuff I wanted to do.

@mamimami: hahahahaha!

DS was the same way, but now that he's 6 months old, he's more interactive with the toys on his jumperoo so he's entertained longer than he was at 4 months!

My LO has always been pretty alert (I think all moms think their babies are so alert lol) but recently I've noticed how easily she gets bored. She plays in her exersaucer, she sits in her bebe pod & plays/"helps" me do things, I read to her, take her on walks, take her to the store, do tummy time, today we went & had lunch with my dad....I'm thinking of taking her to the library tomorrow. Thursday she will be with my mom for the first time for a few hours. I'm running out of things to do with her though! It's like she's mentally older than her physical capabilities. Any ideas on how I can help keep her stimulated & happy?
