There is a Baked by Melissa a couple blocks from Lombardis. It was the first BBM...just a window in the side of a restaurant. I actually used to work in soho and my coworker was good friends with Melissa so we went all the time when she first opened! It's really grown since then, she has so many locations and provides cupcakes to so many celeb parties and such! DH and I are obsessed with this place and as soon as we hear we're having visitors it's the first reservation we make. At least don't go there hungry, you'll be a hot mess by the time you finally get your food. I even live by the more residential location on the UWS and the line is always down the block regardless of the day/time. They can't expand fast enough to meet demand since they use only local ingredients. </p> <p>I'd also recommend going for a drink at the boat house in central park. The food isn't exactly amazing, but the scenery is awesome and it's a beautiful walk from times square.
