I started seeing a naturopath (integrative) last year for a suspected thyroid issue. I would definitely consider going to one. I mean, I'm all for treating underlying issues (proper diet, exercise, etc), but supplements and detox and stuff can do more harm than good if you don't see someone who has a real medical degree. My MIL and SIL are trying to convince DH to see one for some ongoing health issues, but we tend to have different views from them when it comes to medicine (as in, we believe in it, they don't). There's some mixed info out there on whether functional medicine is a real thing, so wondered if anyone had any personal experience. Thanks! </p>
