The first few days we were home with the LO, the arrangement was for DH to get up and change his diaper before I nursed him. LO was crying so I woke up DH and asked him to change him, he stood up nodding and then said, change who? I was really mad at the time because I was exhausted too, but its funny now :)

My sister also had twins 8 months before I had my LO, and in the early days during one of the many night feedings I actually forgot I had a baby, thought I was feeding her son and got worried about where her daughter was, because I couldn't remember... I slowly remembered I had my own son and that's who I was breast feeding!

@sorrycharlie: I love how open we all are about sharing goofy stories, especially when they are about our SOs.

Last night I slept on the couch and could hear DH quite loudly, just couldn't quite hear what he said. He said he slept well though. :)

This is my favorite thread!!
I talk in my sleep all the time but it is usually in jibberish so my husband does not understand or can't repeat what I've said. One night he said I started smiling and said, "You should try it with chocolate....chocolate". I wish I knew what I was talking about that night!!

One night, I woke up to DH yelling "Weeeeeeeeeeeeee" in a very childlike voice while doing bicycle kicks in the air. It was HILARIOUS. However, it was keeping me up so I woke him up. He shot straight up in bed, said "Towson football sucks" (the college he went to) and then laid back down and went to sleep. So bizarre!

DH usually speaks a language I don't understand well in his sleep.

Now, DS can be pretty amusing. He laughs a lot in his sleep and will often start naming animals "donkey!" "kitty cat!" "llama!"

The first time I slept over at his house I woke up and he was shaking like he was having a seizure. I was seriously worried for his safety and tried to wake him up.
He punched me in the face and i screamed.
He then woke up and was like "youre not a zombie" no duh im not.
Turns out he was dreaming that he was fighting zombies.....

Once DH was reading in bed while I slept and said that he caught me posing for pictures in my sleep. He thought it was super creepy because I was so silent and smiling really wide with my eyes closed, lol.

When I was about 10 I got up from bed and walked past my mom sitting in the living room and out the front door. I got into the car and proceeded to look into the back seat. When she came out I told her I couldn't find the thingy and after about 5 minutes she figured out I was looking for the bathroom. I have no memory of this whatsoever but it has taught me to put top locks on our doors for my daughter's safety.

@mrsjazz: I am ROFL!!!! That is hysterical!!!

Only story I have oh DH is during the World Cup, a month or so after DH and I got married/started living together, we would get up in the middle of the night to watch Mexico play, game ended we were falling back asleep, he fell asleep first, and I hear "gooooallll" scared the crap out of me! I turn around and tell him he scared me, but he continues, didn't you see the goal I made. He didn't remember anything in the morning.

My husband talks in his sleep a lot. My two favorite stories:

1) He had killed a bee earlier in the day. I was sitting up in bed on my laptop and all of a sudden he jerks and kind of curls into the fetal position to get away from something while screaming, "The Bee! The Bee!" I rubbed his arm to wake him up and he said that he dreamt about a human-sized bee attacking him.

2) DH sits straight up in bed and holds his hand to his ear like he's holding a cell phone (he wasn't) and starts talking to his hand, "Can you hear me? I didn't hear what you said." I was hysterically laughing and told him he didn't have a phone in his hand. He woke up looked at his hand and then looked at me like I was the crazy one.

DH started talking to me about a sandwich once in the middle of the night (he LOVES sandwiches!) and so once I figured out he was sleeping I started egging him on about how to make the sandwich.
PL- "You want Miracle whip?"
DH- "NO!! I hate miracle whip. Mayo!!!"
PL- "Okay, and honey mustard right?"
DH- "NOOO! Regular mustard!! Get it right!!!" then he rolled over and went back to sleep.

This isn't baby related, but it's so unforgettable I have to share! When I first moved-in with DH, there was one night when I was rummaging in the living room while he was sleeping. He must have been dreaming and sleep walking because he came out into the hallway, in his undies, and growled like a bear while flexing his arms like a muscle man. It's funny as hell to think back at that moment now, but it scared the crap out of me when it happened! I screamed bloody murder and he woke-up wondering what happened!

1) I knew DH was going to propose because in his sleep he rehashed the conversation he had with the sales lady at the jewelry store (I knew her name was Sarah and she was pregnant even though I had never met her)

2) When I was pregnant he was looked at me and said "The dog is under the bed" and I said "no she's not she's curled up right next to me" he said "not Finley the other one" well we only have Finley.

I love my DH, but sometimes he'll come up with the nuttiest stuff while he's asleep. Two nights ago, I went back to bed after pumping and told him about something fun I'd read on here. He seemed awake, was responding. My first clue that something wasn't right was when he told me that he "needed to put the baby down" even though I insisted she was in her rock'n'play next to me already. He insisted! I finally told him to check again, and he just rolled over.

I asked him about it the next day and he said that he remembers holding the covers and thinking they were our LO.

Do you have any good sleep-talking or sleep-walking stories?
