Near the beggining of our relationship, he fell asleep first and I noticed him shaking like he was having a nightmare or a seizure....wasn't sure which.

I tried to wake him and ask if he was ok, and he punched me hard in the face! I screamed, then he woke up for real.

Turns out he'd been "fighting zombies" in his sleep and thought I was one of them.

He was very remorseful and I learned my lesson never to wake someone that was having a bad dream.

When hubs is at the point where he is about to fall asleep he gets these crazy muscle spasms/twitches. When he was still playing football they were particularly bad after a hard game or practice. Unfortunately there have been some not so pleasant results for me depending on how we are snuggled when it happens!!!

laughing out loud at everyone else's!

this isn't funny at ALL but my husband snores like an I don't know what. and then CHOKES on his snores and splutters like he's dying. he lays flat on his back tucked in like a mummy (even when it's hot) and there's gross sweat stains on his pillows and his side of the mattress pad when I change the sheets. ew!!

@Sweet T: DH talks in his sleep too! He'll yell out things like 'what'd ya think this is, a service station?' and my favorite, 'in addition to the vest, dookie designed the toothpick!' I've started writing them down because they're so funny!

He stopped just recently, but he used to get up to make a meal between 2-4am. I'm so happy that has stopped! I did ban all crinkly wrappers from being opened at night, the sound made me want to hurt him=P

Only thing (other than him sleeping in socks all but the hottest 2-3 days out of a year) is that sometimes, if he's having a nightmare, he does this muffled Tarzan/yodeling thing. Night before last, he was dreaming that a leopard seal was trying to eat our cats when he started his yodel. I have the shake him awake, and this time he grabbed my arm before he woke up.

DH talks in his sleep sometimes. He says some of the most bizaar things. A week or two ago, he rolled over and said "I like buffalo wild wings." I about peed myself I was laughing so hard. Sometimes, I can have crazy conversations with him. It's hilarious!

My husband doesn't like to go to bed. He always wants to read just one more article or watch just one more show. In the end, he always winds up falling asleep on the couch in the middle of what he was reading or watching. If I want him to go to bed I have to go down and wake him up to tell him that he has to come up to the bedroom.

DH prefers to sleep in a sleeping bag. He's taller than our bed is long, and so his feet are always freezing and hanging off the edge (whereas I can't sleep unless my feet are peeking out from the side of the blanket).

I'm in a padded fortress at the moment (the only way I can get any sleep), so he's been sleeping in his sleeping bag. We're not cuddly sleepers, so it wouldn't matter much anyway, it just doesn't feel....right. But for now I don't care, especially since it means I can use all of our big cozy comforter to bolster me on both sides :)

Does anyone else's SO have seriously weird sleep habits? I'm always up late working while my hubs sleeps (I'm a WAHM, my desk is in the bedroom) and I swear... a lot of times when he needs to turn over or something it's like he's a pouncing cat -- it's fast and kind of violent and weird. i don't think he does it when we're in bed together -- I'd always be waking up! Very odd.
