More than 30 confirmed cases and eight of them have been in the ICU at the hospital :-(</p> <p>Australia just changed their vax schedule so we give the first MMR at 12 months and the booster at 18 months, combined with varicella. I'm so glad DD1 has had both doses now, but I'm terrified of my five week old contracting measles!! Does anyone know if my immunity is enough to protect my EBF baby? But today I received an e-mail from our pediatrician's practice with an update. All pediatric providers in certain zip codes are being asked to make sure that their patients have been/are vaccinated. These are the zip codes: 10034, 10040, 10033, 10032, 10451, 10453. Our pediatrician is also advising for parents to have their children between the ages of 1-4 (in any zip code) who come in for scheduled visits to have the MMR booster now, instead of waiting until 4.
