I've found they don't really work at all. They'll get LO to stop crying but I think it's just because I'm squirting something sweet in his mouth. The gripe water freaked me out at first. She cried and cried and cried so I put the gripe water in this little medicine cup thing with a nipple on it that came in a first aid thing we have and she sucked it right down and IMMEDIATELY stopped crying.
