@Cole: yes, it does. Think about how you use a rectal thermometer, that's how you insert it. There's a pointy part that goes in their rectum which leads to a wider opening. The pressure of the windi release the gas. You can literally hear the air escaping!

Thanks everyone, we have tried a bunch of these things without much success. Tummy time does help a lot but it makes her scream when I try in the middle of the night, which makes her take in more air.

@regberadaisy: @Bluebonnet: I can't wrap my head around how the windi works? Does it help with "trapped" gas? I am definitely willing to give it a shot at this point.

@winniebee: her cradle has a small wedge in it but I am not sure it helps, maybe I will try the rock and play again...

@Foodnerd81: I think I might need to try doing the gas drops at each feeding, I so sometimes but often I don't and by the time she is upset it might be too late.

I second @regberadaisy: try the Windi - it has worked wonders for my LOs.

For us it was making sure we didn't lya her down 30 minutes after eating, this helped circulate. If you are using a bottle, could it be you are getting too much air with the choice? We switched bottles around that time and it made a huge difference.

We also did bicycle legs, gas drops (although they didn't seem to do much for us.) the biggest was upright and making sure to burp her until I was sure she got it all out!

I'm so sorry - it's so miserable when they are hurting. :(

Gas drops, gripe water, bicycles, smacking bum on their tummy. The Windi also did wonders for DD2 in relieving gas that all prior didn't! Many a nights that was the only thing that allowed my dd2 to stop screaming and go back to sleep.

We had a really gassy baby too. He eventually grew out of it, but gas drops and bicycle legs were the only thing that made a dent for us.

How about letting her sleep on a slight incline via crib wedge or rock n play?

We dealt with this. Have you tried gripe water or gas drops? Honestly not sure if they helped but I used to do gas drops in between sides when nursing, then try to hold her upright after she finished (though not always, if she fell asleep). Sometimes laying her on her tummy on a harder surface (like a blanket on the floor) and patting her back pretty hard helped, but I never felt comfortable letting her sleep like that.

She did outgrow the worst of it around 3.5 months so there's hope.

I am so frustrated-- in reality I know gas isn't the end of the world but the sleep disruption is ridiculous at this point!

My 3 month old is really gassy, while I feed her I can hear air moving around in her belly. During the day we can usually manage it buy at night she is frequently up hourly fussing. She usually goes right back to sleep but I can't keep waking up 14 times a night. She sleeps on her side which I think makes it worse so I frequently roll her back to her back but if I am lucky she passes gas and rolls right back, usually she rolls beck before she can even get anything moving.

Any ideas? She stopped pooping at night which I thought was good news since I could be done changing her diaper at night but I seem to be getting less sleep this way.
