I think fairies could be fine depending on if the activities are girly or not. When my daughter turned 4, she wanted a Sofia the First theme but I made the goody bags gender neutral. Still 4 months away. Hoping to do a friend party this year which would mean a venue party. DH wouldn't be comfortable inviting daycare friends to our home. So a venue needs to be decided first.
