Then you could wrap the box when you got home and y'all could open it together! I dropped it right off at a bakery and had them make us a small gender reveal cake and the next day we went out to dinner and brought the cake with us for dessert. We had them bring it out to us uncut on a plate so we could cut it. </p> <p>It was one of the most exciting moments of my life and I definitely will do that again for our future pregnancies!! I've seen people do this in a photobooth it's ADORABLE, because you can see the surprise on their faces and the balloon that inflates. If you have a (color) photobooth nearby that's a great idea for a keepsake! DH found out he has to work and can't make it. My youngest sister is coming with me and I think she is going to find out and then go and order us a cookie from the great American cookie factory. I'm going to have them tape it up and wait until I see DH on Thursday and then we will find out together. If we don't do that elaborate thing, then we will write it on a piece of paper and find out together on Thursday or maybe when we FaceTime Wednesday night. </p> <p>Last time, I was by myself and went bought a cute boy outfit and a cute girl outfit. They then opened the gift together. I'll be 17 weeks so I'm hoping that he'll be able to see and baby will cooperate :)</p> <p>The problem is that my husband will be working and not be able to go to the appt with me. I will probably have the doctor write the gender (if baby cooperates) on a piece of paper to put in an envelope so that DH and I can find out together. Should I just give the envelope to DH for us to open together after/before dinner when I give him his anniversary card and present or...... I was thinking I could have a baker make a cupcake with blue or pink inside for our anniversary dessert. Or I can give the paper to my sister and have her purchase and wrap a girl or boy outfit for us to unwrap.</p> <p>What would you do? I'd love all suggestions!</p> <p>P.S. I never got to tell DH that I was pregnant in a cute way for any of my pregnancies. They're always high risk in the beginning because of my recurrent MCs so we're always scared to get excited right away. I really want this to make up for that lack of surprise! </p>
