I'm worried about being able to sustain the diet longer this time. With #1, I was diagnosed after normal testing (around 24 weeks) and I was just over it by the time I was induced at 39 weeks. This time I'm just 19 weeks along and have a toddler that has discovered the goodness of ice cream, muffins, bread, etc.</p> <p>And I hear you on maintaining the diet post partum. I did notice that my fasting numbers were higher with #2 but still within the recommended range. I gained less weight with #2 and was pregnant 5.5 weeks longer. My delivery was great and I had a successful vbac. He was a little small at 6lbs 8oz, but I also had hypertension.<br /> It was a little harder to follow the diet this time bc of my toddler and I "cheated" more often and always had high readings. The one who did have it again was very borderline so she wasn't as stringent as she was with her first. I blew the 3-hour numbers out of the water so I got it again.
