I actually dealt with similar situations.<br /> I thought I was close to 8 weeks and was only roughly 6wks. Got call from doctor - HCG went from 4000 to 7600. She said anything over 60% was good sign and that was 88%, and technically it was only 44 hours between. I feel much much better, but still the worries over the ultrasound. I am going back next week, for follow up ultrasound - she offered for my peace of mind more than anything. Freaked me out completely! I was told to schedule another u/s at 9w and that one was fine. I agree that this early on it is so difficult to get an accurate size measurement, so I, too would bank more on the HCG than the size measurement at this point.
