@fancyfunction: I know, it's like the weight just doesn't want to leave! pre-pregnancy it was so much easier to lose weight. I'd just change my diet for a couple days and bam! Not so much anymore - diet and excersize do almost nothing apparently.

ooo with a 4 month old, i'd definitely focus more on diet, then! I really struggled with exercise months 4-6 because i was still newly working. It's much, much easier with a 9 month old (that sleeps)

I used My Fitness Pal and found it really helpful. I know it's hard and I felt discouraged for a bit too b/c around 6 mo. pp the weight loss was sooooo slow and almost stagnant - I had about 8 lbs to go that just didn't want to leave. I'd say at around 8-9 mo pp I finally felt happy with my weight and am now fully back to where I was before. Good luck with your goals! :)

@blackbird: I have not tracked what I'm actually eating, but I am considering starting back up my sparkpeople account to do just that. I know weight loss is usually 80% diet and 20% excersize so I really need to focus on what's going in. You make a good point about excersizing more, I'm just trying to be realistic since I work full time and have a 4 month old at home. It's every other day so some weeks it's 4 times instead of 3.

@MrsKoala: Nope, I'm not nursing unfortunately.

@Zbug: I am 20 weeks post partum. I gained 30 lbs total and the majority of it came off pretty quickly, but I guess the 'real' weight I put on is now just sticking. Over time, the scale is going in the right direction, but I'll stay the same one week then lose one ounce the next week. It's so frustrating!

How many weeks PP are you? I stalled at ten pounds from weeks 3-9 then stalled again at five pounds at week 12. Maybe you just need to wait it out a bit longer? That's my strategy :)

Are you nursing? I don't have personal experience yet but some of my friends who have had babies in the past couple years stated that they couldn't really shift the final couple of pounds of baby weight until they were done BFing.

I'd been stuck about +5lb for months and months. For me, it's 5 days of exercise, and counting calories and macros.

Have you tracked what you're actually eating? Or do more exercise. 3x/week is more maintenance than weight loss, IMO. Not sure what you're burning off, but even 400 calories/session is only 1200 calories/week which is 0.3 pounds. So it's not that much unfortunately

What helped you get back to your pre-pregnancy or goal weight post partum?

I am getting so frustrated. The majority of the weight came off on its own pretty quickly. But I am still up 7 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and on shrimpy me that means a full clothing size. I started going to the gym 3x a week and while I can tell my muscles are getting more defined the weight still isn't coming off and my clothes are still tight. I already eat extremely healthy, but I guess I need to cut my portions even further.

I'm no stranger to dieting, I lost 30 lbs on my own before DH and I got together, but I eat the same way now that I did pre-pregnancy so I'm just wondering how much more I need to change my diet! Ugh..

I'm in a wedding in March and I'm hoping I can reach my goal by then..
