That said, if they do a great job and you were in a pinch to get in I would tip (in cash) regardless. I've always heard the conventional wisdom is that you don't tip salon owners, but I'm embarrassed to just not tip! Their rate (it's a husband and wife team and the husband cuts and wife colors) is more expensive that the rate of all the other stylists..... So I'm assuming it's like a built in tip? ($50 more than non owner rate).</p> <p>But for some reason, I feel embarrassed to not tip or to ask if I too. Wwyd? </p>
