@Anya: hmm that's interesting. That could be causing some of my headaches I suppose.

I definitely got headaches from my eyes adjusting to looking at a computer screen all day again.

I feel like I'm in that fog now. It's the lack of sleep and pumping that does me in. Once we weaned and LO slept through the night, I felt like a better employee. Right now, the fog is made worse by moving in a week or so, juggling two kids, etc. I'm hoping that some of the fog will be lifted once we move.

This is my third week back and I have a lot of stuff I need to get done today, and yet here I am on HB :)

I don't feel like I'm in a fog though, just procrastinating. LO has been doing pretty well about STTN lately so I'm not feeling too sleep-deprived. Coffee helps of course. (LO is 6.5 months old).

@Eko: Yeah, that's why I ended up weaning around 9 mo b/c I had to go down to 2 sessions by like 7 months and then I just wasn't getting as much out anymore!

@avivoca: ugh me too. It definitely feels like this is going to take a while.
@snowjewelz: I don't pump at work, so I guess I have it a little easier not worrying about that. I couldn't imagine trying to fit that in.

It definitely took me a while to get back into a routine and a groove. Just getting out the door in the mornings was hard so by the time I got to work I was pooped from that! It does get easier!

It takes a while! I forget how long. Also in the beginning, I felt like all I was doing at work was going to pump, lol!

@Eko: Honestly, when I started sleeping more. Probably around 9 months. I really need 7-8 hours of sleep to be at my best.

Yes, that was my experience. I felt like I was moving through a fog. I would have been a better employee if I had come back later (and was getting more sleep).

I've been back at work for two weeks now and find it is very difficult for me to focus. Not in a 'I miss my baby' sort of way, but my brain is just very disoriented. Sometimes it gets to the point where I have headaches and can get dizzy.
Curious as to if this sounds normal...I mean I haven't had to think for the past 4 months and now am working full time without 8 hours of sleep. Do I just need more time to get back into the groove?
