The new pill affected me even worse. I got 4 periods in the last 2-3 months. </p> <p>After my last, unexpected period; I decided to go off the pill so that my body adjusts and has normal cycles before we actively TTC. We started TTc May '11 and just got our bfp this month (cycle 6). Went off in March and started TTC in June. I've had regular periods but was ovulating early (day 8 or 9). I had my annual last week and my NM said she thinks it may take time to get back to normal. I O'd around day 13 this month (6th cycle TTC). I decided to go off them in 2007. I think my first cycle post BCP was 72ish days, then it tapered off to 33 days. If I ovulated last cycle it would have been while we were on vacation and I wasn't very strict with temping and my OPKs. I'm currently on cycle day 6, so we'll see how this month goes : )</p> <p>I definitely think it's different for everyone. There are people who get pregnant the cycle after they stop taking BC. I didn't exactly listen...we started TTC that first month but nothing happened. That worked for a few months before we started actively ttc. My first day off birth control. </p> <p>DH and I are not actively TTC, but we are officially NTNTC. </p> <p>Actually, we need to wait out a month as DH is getting off some meds that aren't safe for baby-making; and I have had a lot of trouble adjusting regular cycles to the current BCP I'm on, (I've had 4 periods in the last 2.5 months). So here I am, no longer on the pill. I've heard both ends of the story. Some friends have told me that I need to get off the pill a few months before so I can adjust cycles and others have told me that I'll be able to get pregnant right away.</p> <p>What are your experiences? </p>
