@ChiCalGoBee: Oh God, the night sweats. I was feeling mostly better and thought I was on the upswing when the night sweats started, and it was TERRIBLE! They lasted a week, and it was probably the worst part of the whole thing.

I wasn't pregnant (you poor thing-I can't imagine!), but...I had H1N1 (swine flu) and pneumonia at the same time almost exactly 2 years ago. My son was 16 months at the time. I also had a double ear infection. The cough was unreal, too. I got on Tamiflu within 40 hours of the onset of symptoms, as well as an antibiotic for the ears. It was a Friday when I started taking the meds and I pretty much spent the weekend in the guest room away from husband and son, with a mask on. We had some baby-sitter help (no local family). I had awful fevers, night sweats, chills, etc. for the first 3-4 nights and would soak through my sheets with sweat. I had mono, and this ways *way* worse of a sickness. I would say within 5 days I was up and walking around, and by 8-9 days out I felt pretty much back to normal but still took it easy. My husband and son were both put on Tamiflu just in case, and I have zero regrets about that. No medicine side-effects from either of them and they stayed healthy. I had to somewhat resume care of my son by Monday afternoon, but by then I'd been on medication for 3.5 days and was on the mend.

@erinbaderin: I don’t think I’ve ever had flu as an adult and I had no idea of the headaches! I thought I had a migraine before I realized it was probably just from the flu.

@SweetiePie: omg dh getting it is my worst fear. Every time he mentions some little thing feeling off I’m like YOU ARE NOT SICK. Amazingly no one else seems to have gotten it yet, fingers crossed since we’ve had other junk like strep this week.

I wasn’t pregnant, but I was 3 months postpartum. I’d say it took a week. It was the last bad flu season we had, 2014/15. I had the flu shot so I’m pretty sure that helped lessen symptoms and duration.
I did get on tamiflu but it was just a precaution as it was probably too late for it to do much (I was on day 2-3 of symptoms).
I would have loved to just take it easy but 1) newborn and 2) of course after I was diagnosed DH felt sick so I had to resume activities because according to him I was “less contagious” so it was better for me to care for newborn again. And he proceeded to spend 100% of the next 4 days in bed. Oh, and he tested negative for he flu but he still insists he had it haha.
Point is I could have maybe felt better if I wasn’t doing night wakings and 24 hour care of a baby. Ahem, 2 babies. 😂

I wasn’t pregnant, but I was miserable for 10 days. Didn’t feel well for 3 weeks. Didn’t take tamiflu.

ETA I had type A.

So I was on tamiflu within 24 hours but I worked the entire time due to deadlines so it took me about a month to get back to full pregnant strength. I definitely did not rest and take care of myself as I should have, between work and a toddler at home. I was about 23 weeks I think when I tested positive.

Rest up and feel better!

How long did it take to feel 100%?

(Bonus points if you were pregnant! I’m 17w and I have a feeling it’s really going to slow things down.)

I’m just sooooo wiped out all the time and trying to manage my expectations. I’m really bad at doing nothing! My usual plan of powering through is definitely backfiring here. I didn’t get tamiflu right away unfortunately, they still gave it to me since pregnancy can increase complications with flu but not sure it can do much overall.
