I feel guilty because I get severe migraines and I can't give my lo the attention that I'd like to. But like you said, I try to remind myself that I'm doing my best and there's nothing I can do about it and try not to worry about things I can't control. And as long as lo is happy and healthy that's what matters.

I don't have any great advice for you but just wanted to let you know that I went through a similar thing. Especially guilt about leaving my LO home while I went to work. I still deal with it now but I know that I have to work to provide for my LO so that's how I try to rationalize it in my head. I also try not to compare myself to other mommys who do/don't do things that I should/nt do. Kids don't need perfect little playrooms, excessive amount of toys, and daily homecooked fresh organic meals (as I've quickly learned). As long as your LO is healthy and happy and loved, that's all that matters. As my husband tells me on a daily basis "Sometimes it's just about survival."

Before having a child I always felt guilty over the smallest things - now that I have a baby it's even worse, sometimes affecting my mood. How do you deal/cope with mommy guilt?

I work full-time and feel guilty for leaving my child, yet when I'm at work I feel guilty b/c my work is slacking (not spending as much time at work as I use to). I also feel guilty when I read things that other mommies do that I didn't/don't do that I maybe should/shouldn't do. I try to tell myself that as long as I'm doing my best - then I shouldn't feel guilty but it's hard to get through my head.

I know Mommy Guilt will always be there but hoping for some help, tips, insight on how to not let it ruin my day.
