I hear ya! I used to feel guilty and responsible for Everything! Then I read something (I can't even remember where) that said that guilt is lazy, self-indulgence. It seemed super harsh, but I thought about it and it made sense to me. If I was really uncomfortable about something I had to either change it or accept it but being guilty was a passive energy waster.
It's from the book of tough love for sure, but I think it resonates with me as it is more proactive.
I definitely need to reminds self of it regularly though!

I think all mommies have guilt! I SAH and have guilt about not helping to contribute to our family and provide financially for LO. I have guilt about not always being fully present during the day. I feel guilt about wanting a break from LO.

I think we all strive so hard to be the *perfect* mom but, in reality, no such person exists. We are our own worst critic and need to learn not to be so hard on ourselves!

Yes, I feel it, big time. My DH has the same response as yours, which is frankly unhelpful. I'm sorry, I don't have any advice for you, but you're not alone!

I realized today that I am feeling guilty about just about everything these days. I feel guilty for sending LO to daycare, even though I know it's best for her and for me in the long run. I feel guilty for not doing work this week, even though my maternity leave isn't even over yet (my boss just keeps begging for help). I feel guilty that DH works longer hours and makes twice as much money as me, but he still helps out a ton with the baby. And the list goes on and on...

Do/did you feel guilty about everything as a new mom? Does this guilt ever go away? DH just tells me that I shouldn't feel guilty about any of these things and to let it go. Easier said than done, I think.
