We just see if nap times need to be adjusted, and also just rock her back to sleep. Eventually she learned to connect sleep cycles.

Agree with jiggling, patting/shushing just as baby starts to arouse... May or may not work well at this age, but definitely worth a try!

For me this meant the awake time was too long and they were overtired. You could try shortening that. Hugs! Naps are so tricky! Also, the swing was a lifesaver for naps until about 5 months.

I second what the above PP's said.

I use the bouncer for naps because sometimes his fussing makes the bouncer bounce, which puts him back to sleep. Or, if need be, I can pop in and bounce him a bit and he'll go back down without me needing to pick him up.

Can you pop in at 29 minutes and sort of jiggle her a little bit? My oldest liked to be kind of vibrated gently to soothe back to sleep.

White noise, white noise, white noise. Did I mention white noise lol😉 I have a notoriously bad napper. A white noise app I downloaded on my phone is the only thing that gets him to connect sleep cycles

Just wondering if anyone has advice or success getting your baby to nap longer than 30 min. My 10 week old goes down easily in her bassinet for naps but fusses herself wide awake after 30 min. She's still tired bc she's cranky and can be rocked back to sleep when I get her. I even put her down "drowsy but awake" (which I thought was a completely impossible notion with my first! 😉)

I also know not to get myself crazy with young baby naps but it would be nice to try something that may help. TIA!

(Don't want to use swing and she will sleep much longer in the carrier but I can't wear her all day!)
