Well, considering we are going to start ttc for #2 in May/June 2014, I feel like I will NEVER get to wear my rings again!!!!

Both of my friends who just had babies were able to wear their rings right away. I'm so jealous :P

@erinpye: My feet got bigger but I *think it was swelling because I tried on the shoes like a month after giving birth and they were HUGE.

I read that just like feet, hands can get bigger in pregnancy and never go back. No idea how true it is, but I've heard the feet thing a lot, so it seems possible.

I've been missing my rings lately. I'm 10 months pp and thinking about resizing. I think it might be the weather though so I'll wait till it cools down. It would suck to only wear them in the winter.

Thank you for this thread! Clearly not PP, but I've done some thinking on this. I don't know what to do...I lost 40 pounds before getting pregnant, and my rings are so big they're almost unwearable. But I don't want to resize for this very reason. But I miss them!

Mine JUST started fitting again this week, and LO is 11 months! I was back to prepregnancy weight pretty quick but my fingers just took forever.

I didn't want to resize in case they went back to normal and because we want another baby, so I just kept trying them on every few weeks. It is so nice to have them back finally!

I'm so tempted to have my e-ring re-sized in 2 weeks because I can only have it done at a jeweler 6 hours away in my hometown ( due to all the filigree and the wording of our insurance policy.)
It's the only time we'll visit in the foreseeable future :/ I miss my rings!

@blackbird: it was so frustrating, I couldn't take it. I had tremendous swelling that included pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel, I think it took a while for my joints to get back to normal.

I waited until I was back to prebaby weight and my ring fit again. It's tempting to resize because i'm pregnant again and my ring is off..... but I think I should just wait. Motivation to lose the weight!

9 months feels SO far away! I can't comprehend how they fit when I was 30 weeks pregnant, but now my pants fit and I have just a bit of weight to lose, and I can't get them on to save my life.

Mine will go over the knuckle but it's the area below that it won't fit on. I'm sure part of the problem is the width of the bands and the engagement ring together

@oliviaoblivia: YES! I totally regret it. It's cold in my office today and my rings are spinning around my finger - still haven't had them sized back..

I got them resized at 6 months postpartum because I was sick of not being able to wear them. By 9 months postpartum they were huge. :/

I'm at 9.5 months pp and I think I need to resize them...my finger itself is fine, it's my knuckle--I have trouble getting my rings past it.

I could get my rings on at 3weeks pp, but they were snug. Only recently h ave they started to fit the same at 7 months pp. I'd wait a bit before resizing. I know @rachiecakes: resized hers early and now they are too big.

I'm interested to see everyone's response to this...I haven't been able to wear my rings since about 27 weeks and I miss them so much. My fingers are just swelling more and more as time goes on and I am so hoping they will fit again post-baby but I'm not holding my breath!!

If you got your rings re-sized, how long did you wait?

I really think my finger is just bigger now! My pants fit and I'm < 10 pounds of my pre-preg weight! I'm still going to wait until at least mid-September when it cools down, but ugh. I'm pretty sure they're just not going to go back on again. Not really sure what a reasonable amount of time is. I haven't been able to wear them since January.

The weird part? Rings fit FINE on my right hand. It's my left hand that they won't fit on! Well, i can fit one wedding band on, but I can't wear my engagement ring or second wedding band!
