Doesnt help that we are both 35 either. Well 2 weeks ago we foudn out his third SA had slightly improved so we are doing our frist ever Clomid IUI. Just found out today that tomorrow is the big day! I am nervous and excited. The injections aren't that bad. My husband and I took probably 40 minutes getting two shots together last night, but I bet within 3-4 days we'll be down to 5 minutes! :) And this morning I stabbed myself (he sleeps later than me during the week) and was so proud. I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but I did it. (My backup plan was to wake him up) It really isn't that bad! I was just so incredibly shocked that I couldn't believe this was our consult when it felt more like our first real appointment. I mean, I didn't understand why they would do all of that stuff now and not when we're ready to begin in 2012. yeah the hubs is going to administer my shots too :) And between now and January - well kinda. We are doing PGD / IVF so the PGD testing needs to be completed which will be done by December. Get used to that ultrasound wand - you'll be up close and personal with it every other day once you start ivf :) I'm so desensitized to drs being all up in my kitchen now! And honestly, I don't think the shots are all that bad, especially since I make hubby give them. It's actually something that we can tangibly do together to further the process along, and I kind of like that aspect. Today was the day, and, let me just tell you they get right up in there! What we thought was going to be a consult, timeline, learn details, walk you through the process, etc...was instead: ultra sound, putting this camera thingy in your yoni [yo - knee, aka va-jayjay] measuring ovaries, uterus, seeing egg count, taking blood tests for Ashkenazi Jewish diseases, etc.. - it was our starting process, and it was great!!! We are thrilled with our doctor. We'll begin meds and shots in January. It was really a blizzard of emotions thinking that I was purposefully trying to create a life.</p> <p>It's intense to feel that kind of power, hope and in some cases fear.
