Most travel guide books will tell you areas to avoid of they are really skeevie or dangerous. </p> <p>To avoid real problem areas when traveling abroad it is good to consult the State Department website. I'm not sure what they thought this site would add to that? I don't care what yahoos on the 'net have to say about a neighborhood I'm planning to visit, but I do care if there have been 15 carjackings in the last 4 days on the street I'm going to park my car on, you know? I can see how people are offended by it. We don't' really have a "bad" area in our town, but we have a lower income area, and there are some cool businesses and parks in that area.
