I recently got my friend a nice glass jug from the Oxfam shop, two matching tumblers, a bottle of fancy gin (around $80 - so pretty upscale) and a four pack of fancy tonic water. All together it only added up to about $150 and she's raved to me about it over and over. If you are gifting a single person, will they finish it before it turns? If you gift a bottle of wine to a couple, it's not enough for two full glasses each. They can't serve it to others because there is only one bottle and not enough for 4 full glasses. Last time we moved, we had several bottles of red wine that we had received as gifts and we had to give away, largely because I don't drink red wine.</p> <p>There's a lot less guessing with using up a bottle of liquor. The place is super cute, historic, and literally on Bourbon St (the quieter part, though, which is perfect). We couldn't afford to stay somewhere with that kind of price tag attached if we were paying for it. He has a rather upscale lifestyle in general, so I'm having a hard time thinking of something that would be a nice way to show our appreciation but that I can still afford. He very health conscious, lives in NOLA in a different location, and is a world-traveler. </p> <p>Any ideas of something that would be meaningful or show how much we appreciate his generosity? I'm stumped but want to make sure we do something thoughtful. </p>
