toys! LO's favorite toys at that age were the basic links (sassy teething links, to be specific), a hanging carseat monkey toy that sings when you pull the handle (target), crinkle toys and chime toys (to be specific, at target there are carseat toys that chime, she has the butterfly - a crinkle book, and the elephant 'snuggle and teethe' by bright starts, also target or BRU).

another good one is for the next few months - stacking cups, soft blocks (we have the Parents brand from target), Manhattan Toys Skwish

@littlecasita1122: I second feeding gear! Bowls, spoons, good bibs, travel containers for snacks... I had no clue how much of that stuff we would use and for how long.

I would recommend the classic ring toy that Fisher Price makes - even though its for 6 months +, I think it would be okay to let a younger baby touch the rings and start exploring.

Or did they receive anything for when they start to feed solids? For some reason I didn't think to register for that stuff. We love our Bumkins bibs. You could also include spoons, some bowls, freezable storage containers.

I would have loved some toys then - not many people got us toys and that's when LO was starting to have more interest in them.

A&A Swaddle blankets are always awesome. I would also consider a 'teething survival kit' type gift since teething starts not to long after 3 months. As razzberry, teething rings, amber neckalce, cute teething bibs or something like that. I love themed gifts.

If someone was really delayed in sending you a baby gift . . .ahem, not that I totally did this and feel horrible about it . . . what would you think was a perfect gift to get a little after the newborn stage? They don't have anything left on their registry really, so I can't go off of that. I need some suggestions from mamas in the know!
