Or some sort of water bottle/snack box/lunch box? When my son "graduated" from daycare last year, they gave all the outgoing kids a bunch of new school supplies (markers, colored pencils, lead pencils, scissors, etc.). It was really thoughtful, and helped fill out our school supply list.
