And I second offering your contact info. It's so awkward to ask for it, but it so nice to have when you need it! </p> <p>Also, I'd try to do more than just "welcome" them. Make a point to say hello regularly, and maybe host a small get together with other neighbors (if they're also neighborly). Our immediate next door neighbors didn't give us a "gift" when we moved in, but they invited us to a few parties/wine nights with other people in the cul de sac.
