I have an AMAZING lady who does custom blankets. I received one and now it's my go to for special people in my life. It does take a long time though (2 months I think). I like it because even though this baby will pretty much live in DS1's hand me downs, it's nice that he will have some new items too. Especially since some things DS1 really wore a lot or got stained etc. </p> <p>Other gift ideas that i like to give for second babies (regardless of gender) are diapers and Starbucks gift cards. I would have loved a fresh new hooded towel embroidered with her name. </p> <p>Also, some seasonal clothes- my first girl was a summer baby and second is December, so I had no warm sleepers or long sleeve onesies. If she has opposite seasons like that it's helpful and still cute. </p> <p>Then diapers and practical things like that are always useful. Now I am trying to think of what to get. Is an outfit still okay or just seen as a waste? She saved everything from her older son and he had a lot of really cute clothes.</p> <p>Any other suggestions that would be useful but aren't purely practical? I feel like with a second child of the same gender, you don't get as many fun/meaningful gifts. </p>
