I'm just digging into size 2 diapers that someone gave me for LO2 (who was also a boy) and it's so nice to have them and not have to run out to buy them! </p> <p>I tend to stay away from soaps since some babies can have reaction to certain soaps. Seriously, we just hosted my son's 2nd birthday party, and one family just gave us a check for $25 instead of a gift for him. I thought it was hilarious and awesome. It will go straight to his 529 plan.</p> <p>You could do that plus a token gift like a personalized item with the baby's name on it, or something disposable like diapers.</p> <p>A gift certificate to an activity like a music or gym class, especially something that will also appeal to the older sibling.</p> <p>Or you could offer to take her older child for a fun day trip. Zoo, museum, beach, whatever.
