=( sorry to hear! so sad. i agree with the posts above - maybe a gift card for prenatal massage, something that could put her in a relaxing mood. or a plant that maybe she could plant in her backyard or something.

I read lots of blogs, and one in particular I love is threecheersforbabies.blogspot.com (I don't think that's self promo? I don't know them, lol!). They write about how they lost their triplet daughter. Like PP said, from what they've written, when people acknowledge her they seem especially happy. Maybe something for Mom, and a little something for baby (whether or not you know her name). Packet of forget me nots, something that'll bloom a certain time every year, etc?

I think a card with a heartfelt note would be really all that is needed, but chocolate, edible arrangements, massages or anything like that would be really appreciated.

I had a friend with a similar experience and she found it really helpful when people actually acknowledged what had happened, rather than dancing around it. The loss of her (very real to her) child was brushed under the rug by lots of friends, rather than directly addressed. I hope your friend is doing ok and that the other baby makes it to term and has a healthy delivery!

In my culture we always send food when someone passes away. Maybe edible arrangements?

I recently found out through one of my Sunday school students that my old high school calc teacher (a teacher who impacted my life - following @mr.bee's spinoff post!).... lost one of her twin babies in the second trimester.

I wanted to send her a note of condolences and a gift through my Sunday school student (who is now her current student.) But, didn't have any idea of what might be a good gift during such a time of grief. Thankfully her baby boy is still healthy, but I know that that doesn't lessen the pain of losing her baby girl.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
