So, I stopped stressing about it. My husband doesn't really "gift-up" as well, though he does give our our family photo Christmas cards. </p> <p>My coworkers and I will just bring in treats and share with everyone, or do small gifts. I just figured maybe it wasn't common around here and they thought it was weird.<br /> However, I have gotten gifts for team members (I was a PM so I got small Starbucks gift cards for my designers, developers, partner, and one of my bosses who was more of a peer than a boss). She will also be closing on her dream home near Christmas so I will likely do something "bigger" as a Christmas/House Warming gift. Maybe $50-75.</p> <p>The only other people I give gifts to are our executive assistants...bc they are amazing. They do not support me directly but are always willing to help - usually a $25 gift is what I do. I think its a small price to pay for good will before we dive into the busiest time of year for our office between January and February. But take me with a grain of salt - I'm a gifter and I also try to get something for everyone on our floor. </p> <p>Usually I get the 2 male bosses a bottle of alcohol. But we have a close personal relationship as well (for example they hosted an engagement party and a baby shower for me in their home).
