I hated swallowing ginger capsules. I preferred ginger candies/candied ginger.

Sorry you've been having such a tough time! I also have celiac disease and pregnancy was such a struggle. Can't comment on the ginger (I tried the pills/tea/candy, but I had HG and the nausea was too extreme to touch it), but some other things that helped were:

- sucking hard candies, especially peppermint-flavored ones
- chewing gum nonstop
- drinking carbonated beverages (if you can't stomach water)

There are some GF crackers that are bland, Glutino table crackers and Schär breadsticks - you can find them at WF or online. Hope things improve soon!

They didn't work for me unfortunately. I tried a few other natural things before my midwife prescribed me Zofran. I think Zofran is getting some bad press currently due to conflicting studies on its effects. I was on it prior to the newer studies (by just about 8 months!). My midwife said she's less likely to prescribe it now but I know there are a few other medications out there now as well. Good luck! Nausea is the worst.

Ginger worked well for me. I drank ginger beer and kept ginger candy on hand.

@Tanjowen: I've had some tea but haven't tried drinking it all day, mostly because I can't stomach the thought of it. Hopefully the capsules will be an easier route!

Not the capsules, but my BFF had horrible nausea and drank ginger tea all day long and said it helped a lot.

I was never nauseous when I was pregnant with my daughter, but it's been rough this time around. I've only actually thrown up once, but i spend all day in the zone of debating whether or not making myself puke will make me feel better or not. i have to force myself to eat.

A midwife at the practice I go to offered a couple suggestions, one was 1000mg daily of ginger (she said capsule form is easiest but tea/candies are fine too). Did this work for anyone?
Any other tips? Eating all day doesn't work anymore, and I have celiac disease so I can't do saltines/most carbs. Gluten free substitutes are okay, but largely unappealing (like everything else).
