In the future I'm planning to build a dollhouse designed to look like a gingerbread house. It'll be years before I do it, but I'm enjoying thinking about different ideas for it. The biggest issue will be finding replacement materials since they're obviously normally made with perishables. I'm thinking polymer clay will work for a lot, but what else? Any suggestions?

And how about inspiration for colors, style, etc? Anyone have any particular favorites, or one you've done you're proud of? Anything is good- just looking for ideas!
