We lived there for 3 years and nearby Gulf Shores, AL and Destin, FL are beautiful as well. If you want a beach trip, the Gulf is the way to go. We're thinking about Pensacola, FL but just exploring all our options. My mom also mentioned Disney World. Any ideas in the eastern US welcome! It'll be my mom, DH, me, and two kids, ages 4 years and 10 months. </p>
