@Rubies: Thanks for the link. I forgot that was you!

My doctor wants me to also make her sleep through the entire night, and refuse her feedings at night. I'm not sure if i can deprive her of the night feedings though.

@caffeinated: I guest blogged about it - you can read it here!
http://www.hellobee.com/2012/05/29/rubies-sleep-training-story/
And since your LO was also colicky, keep in mind that sleep-training might also take a bit longer.

She sounds like a pitiful kitten right now. I think the husband will come home to find me in tears.

OMGOMGOMG!!!! FIGHTING! Seriously, it's sooooo sad and hard to listen to the crying but it will be life-changing for you! Don't think of it as MAKING her cry but think of it as ALLOWING her to figure it out on her own. I encourage you!!! (P.S. Glad you got home safely!)

I'm on day 2 of cry-it-out. I don't know if it's her adjusting from vacation or what, but she's been IMPOSSIBLE to put down to bed at night. She's fine for naps, but bedtime is different. As soon as i leave the room, she'll start crying. I thought today might be better because she was silently sucking her fingers (awake) when i left the room, but 15 minutes later the crying began.

I have 5 more minutes before i go to comfort her. I was so sad last night when i went to her. I picked her up because she was crying so hard and she just sounded so pitiful...i wanted to cry, and I never thought I'd be that way when doing cry-it-out.

Please tell me this is worth it in the end. Today she seemed less happy than usual and it made me feel guilty like the crying-it-out was the cause. :(
