He has told me when he had other offers on the table and he has passed me leads when he's been contacted by recruiters just putting out feelers to see if he knows anyone that might be looking. </p> <p>We have a very fluid conversation routinely about what I dislike about my current role. I gave notice because we were a close-knit group and almost like family! They knew I wouldn't stay in the position forever, and I knew that I wanted to use people in the office as references. So I gave them a heads up that I would start applying for jobs in October (and then I got a job and left in February). </p> <p>At my current job, I don't think I would.
