She just played with it for a while, then at 7 months really started drinking. So I kept giving it to her at meal times.</p> <p>Funny story - at about 11 months she learned the sign for 'water' and started signing it. All the damn time. She had been wanting far more water than I'd been giving her. When you go on your trip just stick to bottled water by a reputable brand in Europe like Evian. I think it is generally recommended around the same time as you start solids in order to help with constipation. Our pedi said to give as much as he wants, I've been doing 2.5-3oz and he usually doesn't even finish that. </p> <p>If you buy bottled water in Spain, shouldn't that be fine? How much?</p> <p>Also, when we're in Spain, we'll need to be very careful with water - my sister said babies shouldn't have water with sodium in it. I'm unsure whether she means Spanish tap water or bottled water, so would it be best to just not offer water but more breastmilk while we're there?</p> <p>Thanks ladies, I'm so clueless with this stuff! </p>
