6/7 months? We started in a Zoli. But I think her first sip ever was from my glass. ;)

@rubies: @chopsuey119: I've been scouring the boards and looks like the zoli cup is a fave. I think I'm gonna order one today!

@mslipgloss: That's a cute one! Does your LO prefer the TT sippy over a straw cup? Hmmm maybe I will get both to try.

Officially the first time was probably around 6 months. I've been trying more seriously this week. She's used a straw and a sippy cup yesterday and today. My mom gives her a bottle to play with during the day. I've also tried giving her the sport water bottles since she loves water bottles so much.

It took LO a while to be a fan, but now she reaches for her sippy whenever the mood strikes her (I always keep one out for her). She is 10 months (today!), and started probably around 8ish months? We use a TT sippy.

ETA: TT with a silicone soft top (picture added)

@Mrs. Chen: We've been offering since the first week or so of solids, in a straw cup. I know he can get water from it, but he likes it much more if I take the lid off and let him drink it like a real cup. So I usually do that at the end of the meal, and let him play with it/the straw otherwise.

DS had his first taste of water today! :) I was drinking out of a tervis cup and I gave him a little. He liked!
I gave water to dd with every solid meal she had. We tried a few different sippies but she liked the Zoli best

When LO was 6 months old and starting solids, we also introduced the straw cup (Zoli) and she took to it right away. From then we started offering water.

At 6 months when she ate solids. It took a few days for her to drink it out of a straw cup.

I also give my baby (9 weeks) water out of a bottle. Up to 1 ounce a day to fight constipation.

I gave my DD water for the first time since we just started solids and she made a YUCKY face and was confused that it was not milk. Haha!

When did you first introduce water and how often do you give it to your LO? Do you offer it in a bottle, sippy cup, straw cup, other?
