Thanks everyone! This is definitely helpful. I might be making a trip to a Buy Buy Baby to check things out. Our USA Baby went bankrupt and is no longer in business :o(

@PetuniasandPearls - is this the one you have (but in green)? http://www.target.com/p/rockabye-glider-co-velvet-lara-glider-chair-steel-grey/-/A-13842195
Can you comment on the roominess of it? A couple of the reviews say its kind of narrow.

Check out Walmart.com I think the Enchanted brand on there is made by Little Castle and you can usually get free shipping to a store near you.

We recently bought a Little Castle from Target and we LOVE it so far. It sat in our living room for about a week because it was too heavy for my husband to move in the nursery by himself so I sat it quite a bit to make sure I like it. Someone posted the grey and white link above, we have the same one just in all green.

@carrielouwho I don't either-350 miles away! I happened to be in town. I'm not even worried about how I'll get it...probably have someone drive it to my moms & then ship it freight here. It will be so worth it! (literally all that trouble is how happy I am with it). I did a custom one-cranberry fabric and light blue cording. We got the ottoman also.

I went for a la-z-boy that I got fathers day weekend in there 2 for 1 (or half price for 1) sale. It was also a discontinued color that they were producing so it was even less expensive. I did switch out the base to a swivel base which added $120, but the price before that was only $400.

Just bought ours yesterday from Buy Buy Baby. They have a current 100 off 500 purchase coupon and their regular 20% off one item (they take bed bath beyond coupons). The glider + ottoman set was orig 599, but we only paid $350 after the two coupons and a $100 gift card we also had :)

The delivery dates are approx 8-12 weeks after purchase!

@PhotoJane- I love the 2nd one, I've added it to the contenders list, and hubs likes it too.

@BabyBoecksMom- do you know the style of the chair you got? And where did you purchase? I'm not sure if we have a Best Chairs retailer close by.

@Habesbabe- I don't really want to spend that much, but it seems like these gliders are all pretty expensive...I've thought about the Lazboy route though since we could move to the living room afterwards

@LYDG - we don't have a Buy Buy Baby close by :o( I'm thinking about checking online though b/c lots of people seemed to find their glider there!

Thanks so much everyone for the suggestions! Keep them coming :)

I bought it at buy buy baby and was able to use 2 20% off coupons!! It prob won't be here until around or after the baby gets here, buy not a big deal to me! I got the CottageSS.

I have the perfect glider! It's more of a rocker/recliner and it's about $500. It's by Best Chairs. It's custom made with the fabric you want. We went with a dark grey.

We looked all over for a chair that would fit ny husband and this was the only one. It is seriously THE most comfortable chair I've ever been in. (Makes the late night wakes ups much more comfortable) I'm on my phone now but I'll post the link when I get on my laptop.

i LOVE this one from target: http://www.target.com/p/rockabye-glider-co-velvet-lara-glider-chair-steel-grey/-/A-13842195. it's a glider but has a really streamlined side chair look.

i like this one too, but i don't know what you're going for... it's a little fancier: http://www.target.com/p/little-castle-reclining-swivel-glider-the-linen-bordeaux-collection/-/A-14109936

Little castle makes comfortable gliders, which can be pricey but i believe target carries a limited selection of them and they are reasonably priced. The only catch might be finding One in gray. Also check out the babyletto gliders...if you use ebates, you can get a decent discount from babyearth!

I need help with finding a glider! I was trying to find one on Craigslist but haven't had any luck (have been watching for several months). Now I think I just need to get one new. The thing is, I don't want to spend a fortune, but I would prefer quality.
Things to know- Nursery colors are purple, gray and white, crib and changing table are white, we also have an armoire that is cherry finish.
Requirements-
1. Price range up to $700 (but less would be great!)
2. I'm open to a glider or recliner like chair
3. Would like the fabric to be gray
4. I'm not small, so a wide/roomy base is desired over narrow
5. Would like something that will last for 1-3 kids if possible
6. I'm imagining using for breast feeding, story time, etc. would be great if we could move to another room later, but not a necessity.

So, any recommendations Hive? I'm 27 weeks, so I need to get this ordered sooner than later... Starting to panic!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
