@BeachMama: did you cut out soy? 50% of milk intolerant babies are soy intolerant. If you think it is food related, cut out the food. It's hard but a good start. My son is soy intolerant and he screamed all day long and he was failure to thrive.

She's 19 months. We are seeing a GI specialist next week. I've tried cutting out dairy and it didn't seem to help, although I do feel like it's worse when she eats a lot of dairy. Maybe I didn't eliminate it for long enough. Hoping the doctor can give some insight or suggestions!

Wish I could help more --- a friends 2 year old was just diagnosed with celiac. She had some belly bloating, and pain - and runny poops... She was also underweight and not gaining as much weight as she should.

How old is she? Did you go see an allergist or try cutting some foods from her diet? Could it be dairy?

Hope someone else can help more than me!

DD has always done this weird thing where she lays on her side and tenses up, and kinda grunts and breathes heavy. We've always thought it was her dealing with some kind of stomach discomfort but haven't been able to tease out exactly what it is or what causes it. She did it when she was breastfed, and still does it now that she eats "normal" food. The pediatrician has said maybe it's her just feeling the food move through her intestines. I'm worried it could be something in her diet causing discomfort. If your LO has a gluten sensitivity, what do their symptoms look like?
