@BlueWolverine: good point. No need to dwell on the inevitable and enjoy the present!

@T.H.O.U.: after 2.5 weeks of training the au pair, I'm looking forward to it just being the three of us again.

@Adira: definitely going to get in as many snuggles!

Have fun with your babies. Don't think about going back to work, if you can avoid it. I would have enjoyed that last week a lot more if I weren't constantly thinking, "Oh my God, this is my last week, I'm so sad."

My only advice is to get in as many snuggles as you can! My last week of maternity leave, I started letting Xander sleep in my arms because I knew we weren't going to be able to do that again anytime soon. I snuggled him as much as I could and showered him with kisses and just spent all my time staring at him and trying to memorize his little face.

I go back to work in a week. I feel fortunate that I have been able to take as much leave as I have (they will be 20 weeks when I go back). I just dread going back and don't feel ready to be away from them for so many hours in a day. We have an au pair for child care. I can't help but feel jealous that someone else will get to play and take care of them.

I'm thinking of giving her next Wednesday off so that the babies and I can spend my last day of leave on our own. Any tips for my last week of maternity leave to help ease the transition or to make sure to take advantage of! Is there a piece of advice you wish someone gave you?
