@DillonLion: DH has started sleeping in the guest room too, our house heats and cools so oddly that the living room is freezing, the guest room and nursery are fine but the master bedroom gets sweltering hot, even with the fan on. So he started sleeping in the guest room, and then he got sick so he stayed over there, and then it became habit.. soo I feel ya!

With that said, we still go to bed at the same time every night.

Yes, but I'm usually making him come to bed with me, which is much earlier than he wants to. But he reads in bed and I try to fall asleep... usually DD wakes and wants to be nursed before I actually fall asleep.

very rarely do we go to bed at the same time - he doesn't need much sleep so he usually stays up doing work or watching TV - I need lots of sleep so I am in bed by 9 or 930

Nope. Doesn't work for us. We are on extremely opposite schedules (I get home w/LO at 5pm and get up at 5:30am, he sometimes doesn't get home until 8pm) so I almost always go to bed first. On the weekends we go to bed at the same time.

I usually go in and read for a bit and he comes in shortly after so we can go to sleep together. Occasionally he will stay up to watch something on t.v (like the Bruins last night) and I am asleep before he comes in.

Yes and no! Most nights, we take the baby to bed together (he sleeps in our bed.) My husband changes him, puts on his sleep clothes, and gives him his vitamin while I get ready for bed. Then we read to him or cuddle. Then I nurse him to sleep while DH goes and unwinds for a while. By the time he comes to bed, we're often asleep. This routine works for us for now, but it obviously won't last forever.

YES. It is a big priority for us. I think I can count on 2 hands how many times I've gone to bed before/after him in our almost 4yrs of marriage.
*that doesn't count when he's out of town for work!

I try, but he's been on ridiculous work hours lately so he's been having to get up at 1:45 am to get to work for 3:00. Because of that, he goes to bed around 6:30/7:00 pm. I just can't go to bed that early, aside from the fact that our toddler isn't even in bed at that time!

I miss going to bed at the same time as DH, especially our bedtime chats. :-( Fortunately, he's transitioning back to normal hours with a 4:45 am wake up so we'll start going to bed together again. I really do find we're more connected when we have that wind down time together!

95% of the time, unless one of us is sick or had too many drinks and went down early. We like to cuddle and talk about the best parts of our day, which I think helps me sleep better because I fall asleep thinking about happy things instead of stressed about something.
