@Kimberlybee: Since you are going later in the year, you might look into the new program they are rolling out called Max Pass. It's $10 more a day and you get some perks.

@Ginabean3: have low expectations, follow your LO's lead on characters and rides (our 3 year old was completely freaked about characters she loved and didn't want to go on some rides that we thought she would love!). I have a sheet I compiled a bunch of notes from if you want to PM me your email, I'm happy to send it along! I'm a localish person who went a lot a a kid/adult but was still nervous about bringing thethe kids for the first time without prep. We're going again at the end of January and our kiddos are similar ages.

@Ginabean3: we did the Minnie & friends breakfast in Disneyland last month & my two (2 & 4) had a blast. Food was pretty good too. There are only characters there for breakfast, so make sure you book breakfast reservations--after that it turns into a regular restaurant. Have fun!

Carnation cafe was pretty good for breakfast (ate there on Sunday). Usually my DH and I get soup in a bread bowl for dinner as its relatively cheap and very filling (though we usually end up leaving around 5 since we both get so exhausted haha)

@Ginabean3: You can ask the Photo Pass people to take a picture with your camera if you don't want to buy the photo package. Also we bought LO a helium balloon and used it as a marker, tying it to the stroller. Super duper easy and your kid will absolutely love it. Just bite the bullet and buy it the first day or get it off $ite!

@Ginabean3: I always worry about the stroller getting taken to so i just dont' leave any money or keys in there. but we have gone alot and haven't had any issues with things getting taken so i think its rare. sometimes it does get moved though by disney workers if its blocking certain exits, so don't be alarmed if you can't find it right away cause thats happened to us a couple times!

We just did Disneyland a few weeks ago (on the busiest day of the year actually). I didn't really plan anything because we went in with no expectations of how long our 2 year old would last + the crowds. We had an awesome time!!

Don't worry about your stroller, our first time to Disney we were paranoid and locked it up everywhere. Now we just park it - there are literally hundreds of strollers and no one messes with them.

Thanks ladies! Much appreciated! Will def try to book with Ariel's Grotto and bibbity boppity....and thank you for the prep school links! You guys are the best!

Any advice on leaving the strollers outside the rides? Should I tie identifying ribbon or something on it? I'm nervous about it getting taken (whether on purpose or by accident)

we did the same for my daughters 4th! we made sure she got her birthday pin, and then we made an appt for bippity boppity boutique. our daughter is a total princess so she loved it. we also made sure to go early, because fantasyland gets crowded starting mid morning. i would def bring the city select, just cause theres so much walking and if its crowded its just easier to get through the crowd with both kids on the stroller. we didn't eat anywhere special, but i've heard good things about ariels grotto!

If you plan on having any sit down meals, book now..the restaurants book up super fast. Also, plan on getting there early right when the park opens..I assume you'll be taking the kids mostly to fantasyland so I would hop in line for Peter Pan first as that is the #1 ride line in fantasyland and I have been seeing lines for it start at 45 mins to an hour on an average day. Don't forget to utilize your fast passes for rides such as haunted mansion!

I would do the City Select so you can get around easily and check out Ariel's Grotto for princess lunch reservations! Also Bippity Boppity takes reservations to get your hair done by Fairy Godmother. That was super fun! We brought our own dress/tiara to both and changed out after. I love Disneyland. We went to D Tokyo last year and Dland in 2013 and 2014.

Happy Friday! Needing some good Disneyland advice. (I haven't been in 15 years!)

We are thinking of taking our daughter for her 4th birthday (on a Tuesday in February) in lieu of a party. It will just be me, DH, birthday girl, and younger DD (18 months).

Give me the scoop.....this will be her first time! Any special birthday things they do for birthday kids? What about dining options? I know to have low expectations of what we will see and do haha. We are semi-local so we won't be spending the night. I do have a stroller question......should we bring the umbrella (Uppababy G-luxe) just for the 18 month old? Or should we bring our City Select with just one seat and the boogie board (bigger basket and 4 yr old can stand on bogie board if she gets tired? I don't anticipate the 4 year old wanting to/needing to nap).

Disney mamas....enlighten me! I'm seriously clueless....the last time I went I think they barely rolled out Fast Pass.......
