I went to one when I was like 5 months along and had a really good time. The place did have decent indoor bathrooms, but we sleep in a tent for 2 nights. I brought a ton of water in case the local water wasn't clean. I don't think I'd do it again though... we were in the woods and found a tick in our stuff at home  Hopefully you don't have to worry about that where you're going?

I think it really depends... It took us two years to get pregnant. If I had passed on everything I wanted to do, just in case, I would've had a miserable two years! That being said, I did get possible due dates in mind... So I wouldn't book trips or vacations or whatever around the time I would be due that cycle until I knew I was out. Not sure if that helps?

I went to an NFL football game 7 months pregnant and tail-gated with my Gatorade....lol

It wasn't that bad.... port o potties kinda gross, but being PG I was told always go ahead of the line :)

Just stay hydrated......I spent a small fortune on water and Gatorade...I am in FL so it was HOT!

@smith: I've missed bonaroo twice because I was pregnant, but I was in the third tri both times.

I guess it depends how you feel. In the first tri & I was so sick and wouldn't fully enjoy the festival experience. In the second tri, I felt great but would worry about people hitting into my belly. In the third tri I was so fat and sweaty and exhausted I didn't want to move from my AC.

So... I guess it depends what you want to get out of the experience? I'd want to drink and dance all night!

I went to one at 34 weeks super pregnant and in the middle of summer. My legs were so swollen I couldn't walk st some points due to the weather and activity level. It was painful! DH helped me a lot and we took it easy though. I got to sleep in the camper while everyone else was in a tent :D

I went to several concerts and festivals throughout. Unless I had VIP, I would say the cutoff of feeling comfortable would be about 25 weeks.
I went to a festival 35 weeks pregnant and took a pillow and sat on the lawn and was super miserable.

I've been to several concerts so far this pregnancy, and it was fine. I'd really hesitate about something in the terrible heat, though. That would be my only hang up.

I went to a concert in my third trimester this past summer and I was so hot and uncomfortable. This was with seats and indoor bathrooms. Granted I live in Florida so the heat is suffocating.

I think it would depend a lot on how far along you were. Towards the end of pregnancy, it would've been REALLY uncomfortable to stand so much. Other than that I think it would be ok! Just have lots of water, no matter the temperature!

I did back around 11 weeks and did just fine. I drank lots of water and my MS ended up being tolerable that weekend. I would not go out of my way to do it in the first trimester (like I would not have bought the tickets pregnant) but I don't reccomend putting your life on hold just in case. The hordes of drunk people was my biggest complaint even over the portable toilets. Overall it was fun and M had a great time, plus it was a lot easier that it will be this summer with a 4 month old in tow. (Still trying to decide if we can swing it, we may wait and find some tickets last minute)

I went to a festival pregnant. The only slightly annoying thing was the toilet situation, but at our venue there were in door and outdoor options, so I was ok. I also felt like baby was kind of jumpy with some of the louder acts... so I often was looking for a quieter spot.

Wondering if any of you have gone to a large music festival or similar event during your pregnancy, and if so, how awful and uncomfortable was it? How far along were you?

DH and I are going to start TTC this year, and the thought of going to Lollapalooza and Pitchfork while pregnant sounds awful - port-a-potties, limited seating, hot weather, tons of walking - but we're not sure we want to push our timeline back so far to avoid festival season completely. So, is it as terrible as I'm imagining?
