Hubs read The New Dad Survival Guide. It read kind of like a military instruction manual. He said it was an easy read. He got a lot more information from the Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn chapters that I told him to read. :silly:

There are not enough good books aimed at dads! My husband is looking for a book about being a father when you didn't have one, and we really can't find anything (there's one that comes close but it's very religious.)

Be Prepared was a big hit amongst dads I know and lots of pictures and an easy read.

@HourThyme: DH hated the books for dads. He's like, "they really think guys are dumb huh?" He preferred reading my pregnancy books! But he did say that the Expectant Fathers book (mentioned already) was a quick read, so that may be what he is looking for.

DH had "dude you're going to be a dad!" I think he thought it was okay.

We just both downloaded the same app (I forget what...what to expect maybe?) and would talk about that.

This one has really good reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Be-Prepared-Gary-Greenberg/dp/0743251547/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1429888517&sr=1-1&keywords=pregnancy+men

Also, I downloaded the Ovia pregnancy app and it sends both me and the DH emails each day telling us how the babies are growing. Sometimes I don't have time to read them but DH does and he tells me about it. Recently, he told me that I need to have more zinc in my diet because it helps with development.

Anyone have any recommendations of good books for expectant dads? I feel like some of them are kind of insulting assuming that dad's don't know a damned thing. I mean, granted my husband thought tampons were meant to be used one per day sort of like a "plug" (such a gross example, but really illustrates his baseline on women's health). I want something that is informative but also fun and useful. My husband is not the biggest reader so probably something a little easier to get through would be better. I've checked Amazon but it's hard to figure out what's good! Thoughts?

I also just impulsively bought The Expectant Dad based on a fellow hellobee's recommendation
