I've tried a lot, and the Ancient Harvest Quinoa pasta really is the best. It is mostly corn, but I think the little bit of quinoa makes it better than the corn only GF pastas. The Scharr ones are pretty tasty too though.

One thing I've noticed about the corn pastas is that they are really disappointing if you undercook them even a little bit. So, test, test, and test again until it is definitely the right texture.

Corn pasta is the closest to the real thing I think...and I like quinoa pasta too...I find rice pasta too dense!

Our local grocer has a corn & rice pasta and it's really good (not sure the brand since I just threw out the package last night after dinner)... Has the texture of regular white pasta. I do agree they aren't as good left over though.

Not sure the brand, but Whole Foods has one made with brown rice flour that is quite good. I can't really even tell the difference. In Seattle we also have a fresh pasta brand called Maninis, not sure its made it your way yet.

Another vote for corn pasta! And my favorite brand is definitely Schar, which is a blend of corn and other starches. It's as similar as any of the pastas I've tried.

Corn pasta = the bomb. Trader Joes has a cheap and delicious one! As with most things GF, the left overs aren't quite what you're used to, but it's worth not feeling crummy!

We're longtime fans of Tinkyada brown rice pasta...for leftovers it doesn't quite have the texture of regular pasta, but otherwise it's pretty satisfying. And not as pricey as Bionaturae!

I tend to prefer corn pasta over rice pasta. If you want to cheat a little, Spelt pasta is super low gluten and way better.

Tinkyada is the bet brown rice, a couple of the corn based ones are good too (the one I like the best is Italian).

I think Bionaturae is excellent. You can get it at Whole Foods and even some "regular" grocery stores.

I'm not gluten-free but I feed LO Tinkyada pasta and agree it's pretty good! The texture is a little more chewy but pretty close in flavor. Just make sure to add plenty of salt to the water! Also it doesn't reheat very well although I prefer to serve it to LO that way since it gets nice and soft if nuked with sauce.

I'm gluten free -- Tinkyada is the best I think -- but none are as good as the real thing, it's been so long since I had good pasta! You have to make sure not to over cook it - and rinse it.

There is also an Italian brand I like - I can look for it - it's only in one natural food store up here.... The Tinkyada is more widely available.

And fwiw, trader joes rice pasta is bad - but their GF Mac and cheese is really good!
